Building a strong brand identity is crucial for any company that wants to stand out in today's highly competitive business landscape. And it’s one of the most rewarding elements I’ve had the pleasure and experience developing for many clients. Because a company's logo is often the first thing that comes to mind when people think about its brand, I dig deep to understand the brand, its values, and the audience they want to reach, allowing me to develop meaning and clarity for the brand mark, thus making it an essential component of its overall identity.
NOA CAFE
NOA CAFE
It’s all in the family! When we lived in New Hampshire, my husband designed the logo for Summer Sessions Surf Shop, recently the two owners decided they wanted to expand their offerings and create a cafe adjacent to their shop in downtown Portsmouth, N.H. and name it Noa Cafe. We excitedly set out to give them the logo they were looking for. And (cough, cough), although these mood boards below represent my design contribution to the endeavor, they did end up picking my husband’s design featured here. Oh well, you can’t win them all, but look at all the other ideas!

B. FRANK
B. FRANK
Let’s be frank, it takes courage to start your own business and that’s exactly what this young entrepreneur did, but she needed to make a splash. Going into the social media space we wanted to come up with a name that aligned with the nature of the business, so it was only natural that B. Frank was born. A nod to the quick, concise approach recommended with social copy while also having been my client’s maiden name.
